Start with your dates and your rig

Write down your preferred arrival month, expected stay, and how much your departure date might change. A project scheduled for six months may need an extension, so ask how renewals work and whether the same site can remain available.

Have your RV's full length, width with slides extended, and height ready. Include the space needed for steps, awnings, and a tow vehicle. Ask the park to confirm the specific site's dimensions and hookup compatibility; a photo of an empty pad does not establish whether your setup will fit.

Compare the whole monthly arrangement

Request a written breakdown of base rent, utility billing, deposits, and any additional charges. Check whether electricity is metered and how you can review usage. Ask what happens if you arrive partway through a month or your plans change before departure.

Promotional pricing deserves a separate question: does the deadline apply to an inquiry, a reservation, or a move-in, and how long does the lower rate last? Keep the final terms with your booking information. Our monthly RV cost guide gives you a simple way to compare quotes.

Walk through an ordinary workday

Think through leaving for work, returning, parking, doing laundry, and getting enough rest. Ask about access hours, visitor and vehicle rules, quiet hours, package handling, and who to contact when a problem comes up. If you depend on internet access, ask what is provided and test your own mobile service at the site when possible.

Amenities are most useful when their hours match your routine. Ask about laundry and shower access rather than assuming a clubhouse is always open. If you work nights, discuss that schedule before choosing a site.

Plan for the seasons you will actually stay

A longer Texas stay can span changing weather. Ask the park about its weather procedures and where guests should go during severe weather. Review the National Weather Service's Fort Worth preparedness resources and your RV manufacturer's instructions for seasonal preparation. A covered RV pad should not be assumed to be a storm shelter.

For a covered space, confirm clearance and the position of support posts with your slides extended. See our planned covered-site information for the details still being finalized at Marti Drive.

Considering the Fort Worth area?

Marti Drive is a new 70-site RV park planned at 1600 Marti Drive in the Fort Worth area. Our focus is stays of approximately six months to three years. Planned clubhouse amenities include showers, laundry, a manager's office, and an outdoor kitchen.

Opening is planned for March 1, 2027; arrival dates depend on park readiness. Explore long-term stays at Marti Drive and prepare your questions before requesting availability.
